Bath Street

Following a competitive tender process, we were instructed to carry out external fabric works and the full internal refurbishment of the upper floor offices at 9 –18 Bath Street, Bath. The project came with a number of logistical challenges with the building set within a busy historic city centre location, involving close liaison with Bath and North East Somerset Council. Externally, the works included extensive scaffolding to all elevations and roof level, providing access for sash window refurbishment and redecorations, replacement single ply flat roof coverings and general fabric maintenance. A temporary site compound was built on the adjacent pavement to accommodate skips and material deliveries. Internally, a full refurbishment of the access stairwell and second and third storey of the building was completed. Works included strip out and demolitions to the heavily compartmentalised floor plates, general carpentry, suspended ceilings, full redecorations, new carpets, lift car refurbishment, new LED lighting and regularisation of the existing power layout. The WC’s were reconfigured and fully refurbished including new IPS panels, cubicle systems and vanity units, suspended ceilings, LED lighting and vinyl. New shower areas and changing facilities were also built including White Rock wall finishes, suspended ceilings, LED lighting and vinyl. Kitchenettes received new kitchens, vinyl floors, suspended ceilings, decorations, regularised power layouts and LED lighting.
