Malmsbury Community Hub

Following a competitive tender process we were instructed to undertake the remodelling and refurbishment of the Riverside Community Centre. This was to be delivered on a fast-track programme to enable the centre to be handed back to the community as soon as possible. The scope of works included the refurbishment of the main hall, to include building of a new mezzanine floor, the installation of a new suspended ceiling alongside the upgrade of new electrical and mechanical services including new lighting, power, heating and the fitting of a new air-handling unit. This also included the installation of a new kitchen area to the rear of the main hall. As part of the works we were also tasked with building a new extension (entrance lobby) to the front façade of the building, which included the removal of the existing roller shutter door and the installation of automated aluminium doors, the building of a new disabled WC within the skate park and the upgrade of the existing male and female toilets within the main building. New vinyl flooring was laid throughout with decoration being undertaken to all areas of the building. As part of the project we were then asked to overclad the main roof, which was duly undertaken and fitted and completed in line with the clients requirements and agreed timescale. Although the building was empty throughout the project , all works had to be planned and carefully coordinated. Communication with the client was key to ensuring the project was delivered within the required timeframe. The building was handed back to the client on time and within budget.
