In March 2018 we were awarded the Phase One contract to undertake the extension and refurbishment of a 5 storey 42,000 sq.ft office building in central Bristol for client Whiteoaks Capital for their co-working start up, Origin Workspace. The building was of circa 1960 concrete framed construction with a part faux ashlar Georgian façade with the rest made up of an obsolete crital curtain walling system and brick work. The 52 week programme was extended out to 60 weeks following planning delays at the LPA. As we were nearing completion of Phase One we were invited to negotiate Phase Two which had remained a live office throughout the construction period. We were successful and proceeded with Phase Two in April 2019 with the occupants relocating in to the completed Phase One. Phase Two was completed within the 42 week programme.
