Olympiad Leisure Centre

Following a competitive tender process, we were instructed to carry out ceiling replacement works at Olympiad Leisure Centre, Chippenham. The contract involved the complete replacement of the ceiling and lighting in the sports hall at the Leisure Centre. The works were carried out over two phases. Half of the sports hall had to remain operational throughout the contract. A large hoarding was erected in order to segregate works on this live sensitive site to enable the facilities to be continue to be used by the general public. Deliveries were timed accordingly to avoid busy times of day. The existing flooring was protected and 2no. large access towers were built with 5.5m x 3.5m working platforms enabling two teams to work in tandem and complete the works in a timely fashion. The existing light fittings and ceiling were stripped. Repairs were made to the in situ frame and first fix electrical works took place. Euroclad 20/1066 profiled sheets were fixed to the existing in situ frame. Whitecroft Aerial LED fittings were then fitted to the renewed ceiling.
