Parsons Street Primary Extension

Further to completing local school, Parson Street Primary's first extension to form additional administrative office space in 2013, we were invited back to tender their second extension in 2016 to form a new library, entrance hall and copy room. We worked with the school closely ensuring site was segregated from the live school's day to day activities, as the programme involved works being carried out either side of the summer holidays. The project also came with further challenges including a small working area, long distances between the site storage compound and the site area, restricted working hours for noisy operations and problematic ground. The building was of timber frame construction, sealed with glazing, cladding and flat roofing, traditionally finished on the inside. All challenges were successfully overcome and the school were very pleased with their new rooms.
