Market Side Trading Estate

Following a competitive tender process we were awarded the contract to undertake the extensive refurbishment of Units 5&6 Market Side Trading Estate. Works began with the fitting of safety netting to the underside of the roof with access scaffolding and safety rail erected to allow safe access and egress. Roof lights were replaced with new, cut edge corrosion treated and roof and gutters coated. Cladding and trims were also resprayed. One roller shutter was replaced and the remainder were overhauled. Front doors to the building were replaced with new. Following a drain survey a number of collapsed drains were found. As part of the repair works the yard was excavated by 450mm, new kerbs layed to the perimeter, stoned up and compacted completed with a heavy duty asphault top to falls. Internally some light demolition works took place including the structural heightening of some existing openings between the two units. All M&E was tested and remedial works completed. A new fire alarm installed and office heating. Block work repairs made. Decorations were completed to all walls and floors. A galvanised stair case was installed to provide access and egress to the warehouse area.
